Delicious Food, Great Atmosphere Try Our Delicious Homemade Deserts Proud to be the robin hood Always A Warm Welcome

ABOUT US

The Robin Hood is owned and run by husband and wife team Martin & Sarah Grieveson.

Martin comes from a background in the pub and restaurant business and Sarah had spent 22 years working as a manager for John Lewis. Ready to start a business of their own they took on the pub in July 2010 and with Head Chef Alan Watson at the helm in the kitchen, they have created a pub that offers fantastic food, well kept ales, great wines and most importantly a warm welcome and friendly service.

The Robin Hood is a village pub with lots of personality. It has a comfy sofa area, two open fires and a false bookcase which takes you through to the toilets! For the summer months there is an enormous garden with a childrens play area, including a pirate ship. There is a lovely decking area for drinks or al fresco dining and enjoying the country views.

TESTIMONIALS

We went to The Robin Hood to celebrate our Anniversary and we received such a warm welcome. The place is so beautifully decorated and festive. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Would highly recommend the slow cooked pork belly. We would like to thank The Robin Hood and their staff for making our night so special.

I dropped in for lunch shortly after the pub had reopened under new owners and was so impressed - and tempted by the menu - I went back for dinner the next day. Very friendly service, good food well prepared and presented and a nice atmosphere with a mix of locals around the bar and diners. It is a pretty pub with a nice interior and a huge garden with some stuff for kids. My tip: the lunchtime ploughmans is a "proper" ploughmans (hard to find these days)and comes with ham as well as cheese. I thought it was great and reasonably priced. I will be back!

Well thanks to the new management lead by Martin
I have actually found a place that I would eat a Sunday Roast a little more than some in the area but worth every penny.Wide choice on the menues locally sourced food and a warm welcome.

Went back to the Robin Hood last week and food and service absolutely excellent. Love the way we get a personal welcome when we arrived; our dogs looked after with water and dog biscuits; we were looked after with great locally brewed ale and super food. Even when they are busy they always seem to have time for you. Highly recommended, again, and by far our favourite country pub.

Called off the cuff 30 minutes before arriving with a football team and parents! They sorted us a table inside for the adults and outside in the spacious garden for the kids! They catered for all with amazing food! Excellently cooked and piping hot! Amazing work and all done with a smile!! Thank you xxx
